A special (SURPRISE!) wedding gift

Hello,

Thanks for visiting! We know that Becca has lots of people who love her and are hoping and praying for great things for her married life. We also know that there are many people who would love to attend their wedding ... were it not in a tiny, rural village in East India. :) So, we decided to create a collaborative wedding gift as a tangible way for Becca's friends and family to send her and Passang their love and best wishes. This site will give you information about how you can contribute to the gift. 

What will the gift look like?

First, please remember that this is a SURPRISE gift! Becca knows that some gift is being put together, but she doesn't know any of the details.

For the gift, we will be printing a digital book similar to printed photo books:

We may also include a burned CD if you want to include audio messages or music requests.

How can I contribute?

We can't make this gift happen without YOU! We are hoping to collect personal sentiments for Rebecca and Passang. Oh, and please get your contributions in by March 1st. Some ideas for contributions include:

• A hand-written note (scanned and e-mailed)
• A typed message
• A recorded message (audio or video file)
• Photos (just of you or of you and Rebecca - something to remind her of the people who love her)
• A recipe (for the new Sherpa wife)
• A favorite song (just give us the song(s) title and artist. We'll burn a mixed cd for them to enjoy.)
• Scripture
• Marital advice
• A poem or quote

This list is just to get your creative juices flowing. Really, anything that can be scanned into a computer can be included in the book. When it comes to getting your contribution to us you have a couple of options:

1. E-mail: E-mail your contribution to sherpawife@gmail.com 
2. Dropbox: Upload your contribution to Dropbox. This box will be checked regularly. Make sure to include contact information with your contribution or let us know that you've submitted something, using the gmail account above.
3. Snail Mail: E-mail sherpawife@gmail.com for the mailing address.

Additionally ...

Separate from the gift outlined above, we are going to be tucking sealed notes into Rebecca's luggage for her to find and open as she unpacks in her new home. If you'd like to contribute a sealed note, we would be happy to tuck it away in her luggage. Please use the e-mail address above for the mailing address.
